Swaminarayan Akshardham was officially opened on 6 November 2005 by Pramukh Swami Maharaj. With dimensions 356 ft (109m) long, 316 ft (96m) wide and 141 ft (43m) high, it becomes the world’s largest comprehensive Hindu Temple.

The Waste to Wonder Park

The Waste to Wonder Park is a theme park featuring a 60 ft Eiffel Tower, a 20 ft Taj Mahal and similarly, other five wonders of the world. This park was inaugurated by Rajnath Singh and was built at the cost of Rs 7.5 crore. According to P K Goel (SDMC Commissioner) 150 tonnes of scrap and waste has been used to create the architectural wonder for the city. In addition, it is world’s first such lark where all the seven wonders have been replicated using waste product.

Jama Masjid

The Masjid e Jahan Numa, commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi is one of the largest mosques in India. At a cost of one million rupees, it was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 and 1656.

National Zoological Park

National Zoological Park is situated near The Old Fort in Delhi and was inaugurated in 1959. The zoo is a home of more than 1300 animals representing almost 130 species of animals and bird.

Now, when you go right from the entrance you will find animals including Chimpanzee, Hippopotamus, Spider, Monkey, African wild Buffalo, Giraffes, Gir lion, and Zebras.

Similarly, going to left you will find animals including migratory birds like Peafowl as well as Hyenas, Macaques, and Jaguars.

Similarly, in the center of the zoo there is a underground reptile house.

Lotus Temple

The Lotus Temple is a Bahá’í House of Worship which is located in the village of Bahapur in New Delhi and was architected by Iranian, Fariborz Sahba.

The temple was opened to public worship in December 1986 and according to the government of India, it had received more than 100 million visitors by April 2014.

Inspired by the lotus flower, the design for the temple is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad “petals” arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides. The nine doors of the temple open onto a central hall slightly more than 40 metres tall.

Qutub Minar

The Qutub Minar ( or Qutb Minar or Qutab Minar) is located in Mehrauli area of Delhi. It is one of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is 73 m (239.5 ft) tall with 14.3 m (47 ft) base which therefore reduce to 2.7 metre (9 ft) at top.

To compile astronomical tables, and to predict the times and movements of the sun, moon and planets, therefore this site was made.

ISKCON Temple

ISKCON Temple (also known as Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir) is a well known Vaishnav temple of Lord Krishna and Radharani in the form of Radha Parthasarathi. It is located at Hare Krishna Hills (near Nehru Place), in the East of Kailash area of New Delhi, India.

The temple was inaugurated on 5 April, 1998 by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This temple was designed and built by Achyut Kanvinde. In addition the temple complex houses the Glory of India Vedic Cultural Center, a popular destination for viditors to learn about major Hindu texts.
